Question Regarding this News Post

I wasn't sure if this was the appropriate section to post this. But I have a question / concern about this news post. My understand of the post is that if an inappropriate photo is reported, it is found that it was sent to our DM also and we didn't report it, that we could receive disciplinary action, which could include being banned. (Please correct me, if I am misunderstanding this.) Now my question is, if we are sent, said photo, but never open the DM, are we still culpable? Is that something that can be seen and taken into account? I'm aware that we can mostly avoid these types of spam messages by filtering who has access to our PM but it doesn't feel right to me that we could be punished for receiving an unsolicited photo.

Thanks in advance!

No, and that is what happens in most cases. Fortunately we have a loyal user base reporting what needs to be reported. No one needs to be worried in this regard.
